Tonight we took Brandt to his first ever football game. He was so excited most of the day because he really thought he was getting to go to a baseball game (I'm telling you that child is going to play MLB when he grows up!) Anthony went ahead of us to hang out with some of his college buddies at their tailgate and B and I arrived a little later (in an attempt to decrease the number and possibilities of temper tantrums ~ which Brandt has gotten sooooo good at recently . . . seriously . . . I am thinking of purchasing an Oscar for his latest performances!) Which my plan worked well until near the end of the 1st Quarter, but hey . . . you take what you can get. We hung out for a bit at our friends Lance and Georgia's tent and then headed to the Pike Tent for a quick reunion with some of Anthony's fraternity buddies. It was a great time, and I think all in all, Brandt did well and enjoyed his first collegiate experience. I didn't get many pics, but here are a few that I was able to snap!
Oh, we also took Brandt to the NEA District Fair which has been going on all week long. We took him Friday evening. It rained most of the day but turned out to be a clear night. The highlight of his time there was getting to sit on the tractors that were for show. He also LOVED this little Friends type monkey (you know . . . the one like Ross had that ran out of Monica and Racheal's apartment that one time) they had there. You could hold out a quarter and the monkey would take it from your hand, slide it in his pocket (he was wearing overalls and a blue shirt by the way), and then give you a high five. Brandt was thrilled. He got to ride the Merry-Go-Round for the first time, and there were some "big boy" rides he got to go on all by himself. It was a blast! And of course the Fair food was to die for! I will post some pictures at a later time. I could post them tonight if my hubby hadn't LOST the camera!
We are headed to Conway and Little Rock in the morning. We are having lunch with my High School friend Vanessa and her hubby Lance, and then it is off to the LR Airport to pick up the in-laws from the 2 week visit to Connecticut. That should be a fun ride! Have a great night!
